KMU-innovativ-13: Validation of a cfDNA-based Diagnostic Test for the Early Detection of Transplant Damage in Renal Transplantation

Welcome to the project

The aim of this open observational study in 300 transplant patients was to investigate whether quantification of circulating transplant DNA as a new biomarker can predict early acute and chronic transplant rejection as well as the development of chronic transplant nephropathy to allow an early intervention.

The project started in 2015 and has been finished in 2018. It was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) within the framework ‘KMU–innovativ‘.
